Spring 2017 Semester
Monday - Thursday: 9am-8pm
We will close for the Spring semester on Reading Day--Wednesday, May 3--at 5pm!
With a focus on feedback rather than correction, face-to-face consulting is the classic Writing Center method of working. You come to the Center (3211 MHRA) and work one-on-one with a consultant. You can either drop in or make an appointment!
The Online Writing Center (OWC) is great for working on brainstorming, organization, paragraph structure, introductions and conclusions, and transitions. Since your document gets reformatted, this method is not well suited for questions about formatting or layout.
We can help you with short questions about citations, grammar, or general writing concerns. Just send us a message using the chat box to the right and we’ll respond as soon as possible. Please note, Ask the WC is only available during our normal business hours.
The mission of our Writing Center is to connect writers with readers. This helps to make good writers better writers. It also encourages writers to develop an awareness about themselves that will help them after they leave the Writing Center.
Bring your class or organization by for a Multiliteracy Centers orientation to learn more about the services provided at the writing, speaking, and digital literacy centers.
